The School of Art and Architecture(SAA) was established in 1989 by the Chiranjiv Charitable trust, a premier voluntary organization devoted to the cause of education. SSAA has been offering a five-years undergraduate degree in Architecture and two-years Masters of Urban Design, Built Heritage, Landscape Architecture, Interior Architecture, and Urban Planning affiliated to Sushant University. The school is recognized by the Council of Architecture (COA).
In the last 28 years, SSAA has established itself as one of the top architectural institutes in the Indian Subcontinent. It continues to be the Number 1 Private architecture college and 8th best college amongst 458 architecture colleges in India (as per Outlook ranking 2017).
Through its alumni and faculty networks, SAA has cultivated associations with several international universities. International relationships ensure that SSAA commands its respected status within the global design community.

Currently, the school along with its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes is also running the summer/ winter school programmes for students. It conducts workshops to educate school-goers about architecture and planning.
SAA has strong association with institutions such as the American Institute of Indian Studies(AIIS), Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS), Council of Tall Buildings and Urban habitat (CTBUH) and Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) to facilitate exchange of resources and expertise.
The School infrastructure has state-of-the-art studios and workshops spread across a built-up area of over 8000 square meters. The new building also houses a spacious 415 square meter library equipped with an online database of books, references, national & international periodicals and journals. It is rich in resources relevant to all the courses being offered at the School. The new block is an environment-friendly modern building with world class spaces
