INTERNSHIP AND RECRUITMENT COMMITTEE
School of Law has a dedicated Internship and Recruitment Committee (IRC), which caters to the diverse interests of our students by reaching out to corporate entities, law firms, media and publication houses, insurance companies, banks, organizations researching on law and policy, advocates, judicial clerkship etc. Internships are imperative to fathom the pragmatic and experiential aspects of theoretical knowledge provided for in the classroom and textbooks. Internships act as a facilitator to naive law students in deciding their career path keeping in mind the field of law that fascinates them the most.
The Bar Council of India has made it mandatory for each student to complete a minimum of 12 weeks of internship for three-year law course and 20 weeks for five-year law programme. No student is allowed to go for internship when the semester is running as per the Bar Council of India Rules, which is why we permit students to go for summer and winter internships for the period after their exams and before the commencement of the new semester.
