PROGRAMME – product design
The project was to understand form and metaphor using food as inspiration. ‘Momo’ (dumpling) was chosen. A serving platter/ snack box was created taking inspiration from the unique shape and texture of the momo. A lot of prototyping was also done to achieve the perfect size and number of flaps to increase ease of usage. The final product was made using polypropylene plastic. Polypropylene has chemical and thermal resistance. It’s also food- safe and is microwavable.
