Pantalla de Partición

Spanish for Partition screen

This project is inspired from Aztec Civilization, where the designs were usually geometric and recurring in nature. Pantalla de Partición is 7ft tall with Aztec patterns, and the colors used are blue turquoise (for water bodies, daytime sky) and green jade (which represents fertile vegetation). Living Hinge was used instead of metal hinge to make it more aesthetic.

Campana Bastian

Campana – Spanish for Bell; Bastian – Name of living hinge

  

This project is inspired from bell pepper. Taking color changing ability of a bell pepper as it ripens and using a living hinge pattern to make a lamp out of MDF board. It is a light sensitive color changing lamp. It adds different colors to the first light after it detects a certain proximity. The lights and order of light is same as a bell pepper would change color while ripping – green, yellow, orange and red.
