The heart is at the centre of our well-being, sustaining every moment of life. Yet cardiovascular diseases continue to be a major health challenge, making awareness, prevention, recognition of early warning signs, and timely medical intervention essential. A healthy heart is not only about treating disease; it is about understanding risk factors, adopting healthy lifestyle practices, recognizing symptoms early, and taking the right action at the right time.
In this spirit, the Department of Cardiovascular Technology (CVT), School of Health Sciences at Sushant University, Sector 55, Gurugram, is pleased to celebrate World Heart Day 2026 with an engaging and awareness-driven programme designed to bring together knowledge, clinical insights, creativity, and practical learning.
This year's celebration will be centered around the theme: "Don’t Miss a Beat: Recognize the Signs, Protect Your Heart, and Take Action."
We are privileged to welcome an eminent cardiologist and distinguished healthcare professional, Dr. Ravi R. Kasliwal (MD, DM, FIMSA, MNAMS, FASE | Chairman – Division of Clinical & Preventive Cardiology, Medanta Heart Institute | Dr. B. C. Roy National Awardee), as the Keynote Speaker for the occasion. Dr. Kasliwal's extensive experience in clinical and preventive cardiology will provide our students and faculty with an invaluable opportunity to gain insights into contemporary cardiovascular care and early recognition of cardiac warning signs.
Keynote Presentation: "Beyond the Beat: Recognizing the Silent Signals, Protecting the Heart and Taking Action"
We warmly invite students, faculty members, and members of the university community to join us in this meaningful celebration of World Heart Day. Let us come together to learn, spread awareness, recognize the signs, understand the importance of prevention, and take action towards a healthier heart and a healthier community.
