School of Engineering and Technology – Ansal University, Gurugram in association with CSI Student Chapter is pleased to inform you that it is conducting a two-day workshop on Blockchain (Ethereum Learning) Technology on 27th and 28th, September 2019. This workshop is being conducted in close association with our knowledge partner Thingif(y).
Blockchain technology is a digital innovation of recent times which is fast evolving. It is a collection of shared, confirmed, encrypted data that is spread across multiple geographical locations. It provides enhanced interoperability, scalability and security. According to Nasscom Avasant India Blockchain Report 2019 - nearly 50% of the states in India have initiated blockchain projects. Currently 40+ blockchain initiatives are being executed in public sector in India. The Govt of Telangana and Govt of Andhra Pradesh are two of the leading states in terms of blockchain adoption.
Some of the new initiatives are:
There is a shortage of blockchain skilled resources. Global service providers are investing more in blockchain R&D to cater to blockchain industry which is likely to be worth USD 23 billion by 2023.

Workshop Agenda
The workshop has been divided into 2 days:
Day 1 will cover basics of Blockchain technology with a focus on Ethereum.
This building block is important before venturing on to the hands-on training phase.
Day 2 will be a hands-on practical session using Ethereum and its environment to create Apps and smart contracts apart from understanding practically how to set up and use a developer environment.
Both the sessions will be conducted by two different faculty.
