The Centre of Excellence in AI operates as a multidisciplinary hub for innovation and human capacity building in Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies by bringing together applied AI researchers from different domains and helps achieve the ambitious objectives set under the 'FutureSkills Prime' and YUVAi initiatives. The Centre of Excellence (CoE) offers high-quality academic and professional programs in AI, foster innovation in AI based solutions and ensures ethical, inclusive, transparent and responsible AI practices.
The CoE with expertise and collaboration with industry partnerships offer opportunities for the learners to master AI skills and tools required to succeed in job. The CoE calls for responsible AI adoption in Higher Education that encompasses curriculum design, training of trainers, certification, and periodic reviews. The CoE facilitates research collaborations and researchers to focuses on designing, model prototyping, developing and deploying scalable technology solutions to enhance human capabilities in the field of AI.
The CoE has 20 state-of-the-art Apple iMac Machines with 8 M1 processors and 12 M4 processors with 8-core CPU and 7-core GPU. They have 256 GB SSD and 24-inch retina display, two thunderbolt ports, and a MacOS operating system. These hardware machines have latest software installed including developer tools such as Xcode, Homebrew, Git and other software packages such as Command line interface tools, VS code, Python, node JS, etc.
