Short Biography

She is an architect and urban planner from School of Planning & Architecture (SPA), New Delhi. She has more than four years of experience in the industry. She loves to study how humans interact with the spaces around them. Her keen interest revolves around designing spaces without compromising their functional aspects. Ar. Ria Kapoor has worked with esteemed architectural organisations like SDSA, Chandigarh and Design Studio as a designer. During her work at JPS Associates, she has worked as a consultant in urban development. Her work focused on community participation and capacity building. With a diverse background in academics, designing, graphics, projects which include citizen engagement, quality assurance, preparation of development plans, vision documents, she has strong multi-tasking abilities. She likes to explore approaches and methods in which better cities can be created. She firmly believes that cities need to be more inclusive for all age groups and gender. Passionate for making cities friendlier for children, she devotes her time to the perusal of interventions in this domain. Hence, her thesis research is focused on planning for child friendly cities.
