Name: Preetha Ravisree Sajin
She is an Architect cum Urban Planner with specialization in Housing and with more than 21 years of practical and teaching experience both at national and international level.
She started her career as a research assistant at a renowned Architectural and Planning school at Hyderabad but soon moved to the application side by working for some of the top architectural and multinational firms in Hyderabad. She started working independently from 2005 on various interior, architectural and planning projects in Kerala, Hyderabad and Bangalore. Some of her planning projects that she had undertaken during her career dealt with area planning, zonal planning, disaster mitigation projects and tourism circuit plans, primarily focused on the socio-economic development of local communities. She has also worked in London for a few years, which helped instil international work and teaching ethics. She has taught at a premium design school in London and worked with a local architect from London. She is a trained BIM professional and has certification in differentiating for learning pedagogy. She has been associated with SU since 2011 and has an extensive experience in teaching bachelors’ and masters’ students of architecture and planning.
She is currently in the completion stage of her research in the field of affordable housing. Her research is to find an affordability model with the main construct being livability.
