Dr. Astha Mehta is an Associate Professor of Law at School of Law, Sushant University with over 12 years of experience in academia and industry. She is an alumna of the prestigious NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad wherein she pursued her B.A. LL.B. (Hons). Subsequently, she pursued her LL.M. (2 years) in Business Law wherein she was awarded a Gold Medal followed by a PhD in Law (Full-time) by Amity Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, Amity University, Noida. With understanding of various legal disciplines, her expertise extends across Contract Law, Competition Laws and more. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she actively contributes to legal research and has published papers in SCOPUS Indexed, UGC Care and Peer Reviewed Journals of International and National repute and has presented a couple of papers in International and National Conferences. Apart from specialising in designing innovative curriculum that accommodates multiple intelligences and reaches all learning styles, she is deeply involved as the Centre Head and Founding Member of Arbitration and Mediation Skills Centre (AMSC) at School of Law. She was also invited to train the Judges and Advocates of the High Court and District Courts in Manipur on Mediation Skills. She has designed course modules for IGNOU. She has judged various Moot Court Competitions, Client Counselling Competitions and Debates and been a Resource Person for a lot of Client Counselling Workshops and lectures/ courses on Contract Law. Recently she was invited by the Maldives Moot Court Society to deliver a lecture on Contract Drafting to the students of Maldives and India.
