Short Biography

“Strive to become a man of Value rather than a man of Success!”

A young and enthusiastic professional, Pragya is highly motivated and passionate about learning new things, with sensitivity towards the environment around her. She’s always searching for new ways to push the boundaries of her work. For nearly two and a half years, Pragya has worked as an architect and designer, during which time she has developed strong interests in Human Centric Design Approaches, Conservation, Urban and Architectural Research, Photography, Site Execution and Coordination.

Throughout her undergraduate and postgraduate studies, she has proven herself to be an asset, through her Academic Performance as well as serving as the Core Member of Student Body, Editorial Head and Mentor for three years in   a row for the College Magazine "Her Space”. Pragya has also represented her institution on various platforms, like Competitions, Conferences, Workshops, Seminars, etc. and been recognized for the same. She has worked as an editor for the book "Vernacular Settlements in Chanderi" in collaboration with the School of Planning and Architecture.

Pragya has been associated with SAA for the past one and a half semester and her goal as a teacher is to encourage her students to develop their learning interests and critical thinking skills in order to create a learner-centered environment. 

Research Interests

Urban Resilience, Urban Conservation, Place Identity, Human Centric Design Approaches, Historicity, Influence of Culture in the growth and transformation of Urban Landscapes, Urban Regeneration
