Short Biography

Pooja is presently serving as a Professor and Postgraduate Programmes Head at the School of Art and Architecture, Sushant University. She graduated as an architect from Sushant School of Art & Architecture in the year 2000. She is the recipient of a gold medal for her Masters in Ekistics from Jamia Millia Islamia. Pooja had more than 17 years of professional experience in conceptualizing, designing and developing ideas into built form before venturing into academics. A 10,000 sqft of office space for AHF India Cares (Ngo working for Aids & LGBTQS rights), 18,000sqft Office space for Hain India , Bharti Cellular, Airtel office pan India, Hindustan Times Delhi & Kolkata office, Keane India to name a few. Her expertise in materiality got her to finish high end Residential interiors- Residence for Aitel CEO –Mr. Sanjay Kapoor, Residence of Dr. Raj Kubba (no.1 Dermatologist in India) to name a few. Her research interests are Impact Assessment, Sustainability, Community Resilience, Disaster risk Assessment, to name a few. She is currently working on the complex water migration nexus in the urban villages of Gurugram and assessing it for Spatial and Socio-Ecological Community Resilience. She is closely working with these communities to come up with a viable outcome.
