Short Biography

Payal is an architect with keen interest in effective learning and teaching which drew her to the field of architectural pedagogy. With five years of field experience on multiple interior projects of varying styles and purposes, she is good at project management and detail-oriented work. Also. she has been closely working in Govt. projects of renovation of various departments at Jamia Hamdard university. She is an innovative architect driven by creative limits towards providing best solutions with her excellent problem-solving and leadership abilities. Being a multitasking person, she is always eager to learn, explore and experiment with things. She is also planning to pursue a PhD in the same domain and formulate a model which eventually works in an effective teaching learning process. As a full-time pedagogue she intends to add her best contribution to teaching fraternity. Also, she is actively associated with NGOs Bucketlist working towards child welfare, as a volunteer she has been contributing towards society and community welfare. Along with teaching, she is still well connected to the practical field by leading multiple interior projects as principal architect at Pioneer’s Atelier.

Architectural Pedagogy - Teaching Learning process with innovative teaching methods.

Presented a research paper on “Teaching of structures in Architecture” in   the International Conference on Architecture Pedagogy: Concepts, theories & Paradigms in 2019 at Jamia Millia Islamia Delhi. Published & printed in Conference proceedings book with ISBN: 978-8193774939 

Workshops Conducted/ Attended:

1. Conducted Mud Workshop in Heritage week on 21 & 22 April 2022 along with co-faculty at School of Art & Architecture, Sushant university.

2. Participated in a two-day workshop on "Teaching and learning in 21st Century" organized by School of Engineering and technology, Sushant university on 4th & 5th February 2021.

3. Attended three days national workshop on " Research Methodology & data Processing in excel" organized by Integrated Institute for Advanced Research and Information from 15th to 17th September 2021. 

FDP Conducted/ Attended:

1. Received A grade in national online training program on " SDG-4's Target for teaching and learning in architecture" organized by COA TRC Bhopal from 2nd to 6th may 2022.
2. Participated in Two days national FDP on "People-centric approaches for design of the public spaces" organized by Chitkara School of planning and architecture in collaboration with Institution's Innovation council Ministry of HRD, GOI on 4th & 5th March 2022.
3. Attended Online Elementary FDP on "New Frontier in architecture, engineering, and construction" organized by AICTE ATAL academy at Thiagarajar College of Engineering from 21st to 25th February 2022.
4. Participated in Five days FDP on " Teaching & Learning at SAA" SAA Factor organized by School of Art & architecture Sushant university from 29th November to 3rd December 2021.
5. Attended Online Elementary FDP on "Pedagogical Process in Architecture- An orientation for young Teaching Fraternity" organized by AICTE ATAL academy at SPA Vijayawada from 12th to 16th July 2021.
