Short Biography

Kiran G Singh is an Architect and Housing Planner, after studying her Bachelors of Architecture at Guru Nanak Dev University, Kiran Singh completed her Masters degree in Planning with specialization in Housing from School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. Her academic activities focus on large-scale housing typologies. Her work explores the intersection of form and dynamics by looking at the creative possibilities of form making as an animate process, activated in time, space and people.

She has six years of experience in both Academics and industry. During practice, she has been involved in conceptualisation, site planning, designing and coordination of various architectural projects spanning Residential, Commercial, Health care and institutional works.Prior to being associated with SAA she worked with G.D. Goenka University School of Architecture and Planning for two years. She has also worked as an Assistant Professor in Guru Nanak Dev University and served as a visiting faculty in Lovely Professional University.

She has been engaged with the intricacies of Housing Challenges in communities and the spatial planning aspects of Health-care design. 

Research Interests

Kiran has keen research interests in Hospital Planning and Housing Development. She has completed a SWAYAM (ARPIT) Certificate course initiated by School of Planning and Architecture New Delhi titled Emerging Areas in Hospital Planning, Design, Construction and Facility Management. She has also researched on various schemes for slum redevelopment and Housing Development She is planning to pursue a doctorate degree related to Urban Housing, Equity and Social Justice.
