Short Biography
Abhishek Bhardwaj completed his Bachelors in Architecture from Aligarh Muslim University in 2019. He finished his Masters in Urban Regeneration from Jamia Millia Islamia. He has also delivered a guest lecture at SPA, New Delhi, based on his dissertation on ‘Cities and Cinema’. He has also worked with the Delhi Development Authority to develop a proposal for the refurbishment of Nehru Place District Centre. He has presented his research work on the sacred landscapes of Braj at the ICOMOS Scientific Symposium in 2021. He also collaborated with an Africa-based NGO, MAWA (Makutano Ya Wajasiriamali) to deliver an online lecture on Sustainable Development Goals for entrepreneurship and innovation among learners in Tanzania. He is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Sushant School of Art and Architecture. He takes a deep interest in subjects such as cultural landscapes, philosophical art, architecture, and urbanism.
Abhishek Bhardwaj holds industry experience of more than one year where he worked in diverse projects ranging from Policy advocacy programmes to housing projects.
-Worked as research Intern with Sehreeti Developmental Practices and INHAF (India Habitat Forum) action and advocacy programme on ‘Improving the Conditions of Work of Construction Workers’
-Worked as Junior Urban Manager in Creative Footprints, C.R Park, New Delhi from 6th January,2021 to 5th April,2022.
-Worked as an architect for the construction firm M/S Kuber Dutt Upadhyay Contractor from April 11th,2022 to 12th August 2022.
At Sushant School of Art and Architecture I moulded myself into an academician who can inspire students to explore the field of architecture.

Gender and cities, Cultural landscapes, History and Philosophies of art and architecture, Cinema, space, politics and Urbanism.
