School of Art and Architecture, Sushant University (SAA, SU), announces the forthcoming SAA FacTOR workshop. SAA FacTOR is a unique Faculty Training, Orientation, and Research initiative that is conceptualized and run by SAA, SU for architecture faculty and researchers of Design and the Built Environment.
The workshop titled ‘Teaching and Learning at SAA’ will be held from 29 November to 3 December 2021.
The program, spread over 5 days, intends to introduce faculty into Learner Centred Teaching Methods and the Role of Teachers as facilitators of learning as well as systems and processes for self-reflection within the teaching-learning process. It will cover the following:
· Introduction to Teaching
· Pedagogy / Pedagogic Tools
· Knowledge Upgradation and Research
· Student Psychology
· Formulating Learning Outcomes and Assessment Criteria
· Marking and assessment strategies and role and methods employed by faculty in assessing students’ understanding
· Assessment Purpose and Tools - How to assess student work, how to design rubrics, subjective-objective marking
· Lesson plan and content delivery (and development)
· Alignment with University Vision, institutional Outcomes and Programme Outcomes
