In compliance with the directions recieved from Director, Higher Eduaction, Haryana, Sushant university has established a Yoga Club, where community members can come together to practice yoga, share experiences, and support each other in their well-being journeys, the conception of the Yoga Club emerged. This report details the successful establishment of the club, emphasizing its primary goal of promoting physical and mental well-being within the community.
Purpose: The primary purpose of the Yoga Club is to foster health and wellness through the practice of yoga. With a commitment to reducing stress, enhancing physical fitness, and building a community of like-minded individuals interested in holistic well-being, the club aims to create a space that transcends the physical aspects of yoga, embracing the mental and spiritualdimensions as well.
Preliminary discussions with DSW Amit Singh being the potential member helped us in aligning outreach to local community organizations, yoga studios, and health and wellness groups whichindicated a strong interest and support for the establishment of the Yoga Club. The collaboration with these entities has been instrumental in shaping the club's vision and gaining traction within the community.
Choosing a suitable space for yoga sessions was a critical consideration. The identified locations include:
1. An indoor space A – Block (Room No. 015 Ground Floor),
2. An outdoor space E – Block, Wind Tunnel (First Floor)
The goal is to provide an inclusive and accessible space that accommodates various skill levels. The Committee appointed two faculties from within the team to lead – Dr. Astha Mehta and Ms. Bhavya Arora along with a Yoga instructors & students who have enrolled to be a part of the club.
