School of Health Sciences has organized a 5 days Faculty Development Program on Blended Learning and its tools for effective teaching which was scheduled between 25th July 2002 to 29th July, 2022

The sessions of FDP focused on the use and importance of Blended learning in education system. In most cases blended learning is the incorporation of digital learning in traditional classroom settings. After the COVID-19 pandemic there is boom in blended learning approaches and so we as an educator adapt and implement new ICT technologies. It is imperative to learn and use modern tools and techniques in the education system to enhance understanding and to deal with uncertainties.

The first day of FDP commence with the inaugural speech of Honorable Vice- Chancellor Prof. Rakesh Ranjan who talk about the relevance and need of Faculty Development Programme and blended learning to enhance the overall skills of educators.  The first session of FDP taken by Dr. Rahul Sharma, Director, SHS on Paradigm shift in Healthcare Industry after COVID pandemic. It was an informative session on Healthcare Industry. The next on the same day was taken by Dr. Sudipto Sarkar, Dean, SET on Learning and Teaching methods and new techniques in blended learning. The second half of the day was  started with the information on “Digital world- Roles and responsibilities of teachersICT enabled teaching & learning” by Dr. Alpana Jija, Assistant Professor, SET followed by the session of Mr. Tinu Yadav, Assistant Professor, SHS on Tools for Virtual classesAssessment procedures – Hands on practice. Both the sessions were beneficial to develop the skills of the faculty members.

The second day of session begun with the session of Dr. Krishna Kumar, Assistant Professor, SET who delivered talk on Creating video contents with tools- Hands on practice. On the same day another session was taken by Prof. Sunil Kumar, Assistant Professor, VHTBS on Presentation skills- How to make effective presentation with Advanced techniques. The remaining sessions of the day started post lunch with the talk of Dr. Jyoti Sinha, Principle, Pharmacy, SHS on Introduction to Hybrid mode of learning to enhance the Quality of Education system which was indeed an informative and participative session for everyone. The last session of second day was taken by Dr. Jagat Narayan Giri, Professor, SOB on Bloom’s taxonomy and its applicability in academics hands on practice. Dr. Jagat Narayan Giri discussed cognitive, affective and Psychomotor factors in his session which require participation and was relished by all participants.

The third day started off with the session of Dr. Manoj Mishra, Assistant Professor, SHS on Outcome based assessmentInteractive session on CO PO mapping followed by the session of Dr. Chhavi Singla, Professor, SHS on NEP 2020 and its salient features. Post lunch session was taken by Dr. Anjali Sehrawat, Assistant Professor, SOL and Dr. Dinesh Rai, Assistant Professor, SET on Course file preparation and Outcome based question paper settings and assessment respectively. All the sessions of the day was imperative for the skill development of the faculty.

The fourth day of the FDP commenced with talk of Dr. Vipul, Assistant Professor, SOB and Prof. Abhishek Antil, Head, IT on Hands on training on TCS digital learning and IT tools- and its applications in teaching with recent advances respectively. The same day post lunch session begun with talk by Prof. Saif Anjum, Assistant Professor, VHTBS and Prof. Saurabh Saraswat, Assistant Professor, SHS on Best practices and its role in academic development and Intellectual Property Rights: A smarter way to reform education sector respectively.

The last day of FDP started with the topic on Flipped learning and bloom’s taxonomy by Dr. Sachin Datt,  Assistant Professor , SOD. The second half of the day started with the session of Ms.Nupur Agarwal, Assistant Professor, SHS on Emotional Intelligence which educate participants on the importance of emotional Intelligence in professional as well as personal life along with assessment of emotional Intelligence. The last session of FDP was taken by   Ms. Richa Dwivedi, Assistant Professor, SHS on Distress to de-stress which focused on methods to deal with stress in professional and personal life along with assessment of stress with help of stress scale. Overall this FDP proved to be beneficial for the participants in every aspect.

The Valedictory speech was given by honorable Pro-vice chancellor Dr. Sanjeev K Sharma. He talked about the importance of the inclusion and use of Information technology in education system. He motivated faculty members to enhance their skills on continuous basis to convey best and updated information effectively to the pupils.
