INDIA AND ITS ORIGINALTRADITION

As we all know India celebrated 75 Years of independence this August 15. Like other countries India has also progressed in all these years of independence so much so that progression will be more of an understatement to say the least. India as a nation, thrived in almost all the possible fields like:-  Population, HDI (Human Development Index), Access to electricity and GDP per capita hits another level of hikes its clearly safe to say that INDIA now sits at one of the top developing countries of the world and we Indians could not be more what our nation is now. India is also one of the oldest countries in the world and also the country to introduce the World’s oldest and literally first ever civilizations. Clearly India has been through quite some years and with all the years comes a lot of India’s ORIGINAL TRADITIONS

INDIA had always been known as the land that portrayed cultural and traditional vibrancy through its heart touching arts and crafts. It is a country that enjoys a unique and wide range of festivals and culture. Even looking at it in a Geographical POV, we are adorned by the great heights of Himalayas, to sprawling beaches, and dry terrains simply put India itself coexists as a whole different world in its own form, beauty and Heritage. India not only stands out when we talk about Culture and Tradition but also contributed a great deal in Mathematics, Astrology and Architecture also in latest gen Modern Sciences.

For instance, Aryabhata born in 476 CE calculated the value of pi so correctly that it was actually correct to the fourth decimal point (3.1416)

And still called it an “approximation”. Also where the biggest number that the ancient Chinese could come up was 10,000 and the Arabs were literally could not proceed beyond 1,000, Indian mathematicians were routinely using “infinity” (ananta) in their calculations.

All this really actually means one thing that India was rich, let it be Tradition, Knowledge, Culture and People. This begs the question what is happening so wrong that we all as an Indians let it be Youth, Corporate Jockeys, and The grownups, all have started to drift away from it? Don’t you think it’s time for a REBOOT?

Don’t get me wrong though everybody agrees with the fact that updates and overhauls are important factor of being a Technology driven Civilization it’s almost a necessity for us now to stay on top of our game to stay power to power with big boys of the world and it’s also evident with our recent success in Rocket Sciences (ISRO), weaponry etc. But what I am trying to convey here is moving forward and taking big leaps forward while prioritizing our Culture and the Originality should be something we should really be doing.

For instance, 9 Out of 10 Youngsters (from age 16-24) can read and write English in India

6 out of 10 Adults can read and write English too.

But let’s put it this way, when was the last time when you heard someone talking or writing in Sanskrit?

This is not happening only in India many other countries are also experiencing the same.

Let’s take an example of Japan here:

Japanese lifestyle has also been westernized recently but Japanese people still do everything possible to preserve their rich culture by performing many different forms of ceremonies from early childhood, This does not mean western influence is wrong in any form or way or we should not embrace it. It just means we have something much more worthy and special and we should try to embrace it as much as we can.
