International Connect of Sushant University’s School of Business

The new National Education Policy 2020 (NEP) inter alia focuses on ‘Internationalization’ of education in its various dimensions. Briefly, it aims to provide greater mobility of students and courses. The objective is to attain global quality standards, attract greater number of foreign students and achieve the goal of Internationalization – to help restore India as a Vishwa Guru. NEP promotes India as a global study destination providing premium education at affordable costs through numerous measures. For example, Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) should welcome and support students from abroad, facilitate research linkages, enter into teaching collaborations, encourage faculty and student exchanges, etc. It points in the direction of mutually beneficial MoUs between Indian Universities and reputed foreign institutions. In sum, the purpose is to promote research collaborations, faculty interactions and student exchanges (including transfer of credits) between Indian and foreign educational institutions.

At Sushant University and its School of Business (BOS), importance is attached to this aspect of ‘internationalization’ and foreign partnerships through highly acclaimed courses. The flagship collaboration is with the University of Warwick in UK considered one of the best B-Schools in the world. SOB also provides opportunities to pursue Certificate Courses from Harvard Business School online. There is close collaboration with upGrad and ImaginXP for academics. Similarly, there are possibilities to learn foreign languages through tie-up with Bussu of Spain.
SOB endeavors to organize interactive, experiential sessions, including with foreign guests to enlarge the horizons of our young students. It also conducts industry visits to business corporates for a practical, hands-on learning, including to provide exposure to the global dimension of business and industry. In today’s highly globalised world, all corporates prefer executives with some international exposure. This is obviously true of foreign companies and multinationals. It is equally valid for Indian companies with foreign collaborations. Even Indian companies without direct operations abroad, need an international perspective in the inter-connected world of today. Thus, keeping in mind the requirement of corporates in modern India, the School of Business, Sushant University, one of the top Universities in NCR, continues to proactively explore, encourage and expand avenues for internationalization of our programmes, in line with the letter and spirit of NEP-2020.
