In many sectors of engineering and technology, the School of Engineering Technology meets the demand for technically educated employees in research and development, academia, regulatory affairs, and administration. The faculty’s main goal is to educate aspiring engineers and technologists in both basic and applied elements of engineering and technology.
Placement, which is handled by the Corporate Resource Centre and Placement Cell at SU, is an important aspect of the professional development programme (CRCP). The CRCP aims to prepare students for a successful future, not just a job.
The placement procedure is complicated. Personality development, gap analysis, mock interviews, pre-placement counselling, CV creation, and live projects and internships are all included. Throughout their academic careers, students participate in a well-designed, demanding course curriculum as well as real-world practical training and internships at reputable research institutes and/or corporations.
The academic curriculum is so well-structured that it requires students to do a 6- to 8-week summer internship with reputable organisations. The internship allows students to apply what they’ve learned in class about theoretical topics to real-world management situations. This method allows them to improve their abilities to diagnose, evaluate, and address issues. Students can also participate in short-term live projects with notable companies. This operates concurrently with their academic sessions and provides them with significant insight into the industry’s operations.
