The Vatel and Hotel & Tourism Business School, the exclusive HM school in the Indian Sub-Continent with academic collaboration with the renowned French institute, in its endeavors to carry forward its tradition of bringing forth the latest trends, the most contemporary leanings in the vast field of hospitality management organised on recently a motivational talk by a veteran hospitality coach, MS Neelkantan, an educator, an author, a consultant and a blogger who, despite having to face several setbacks in life, including surviving a severe cerebral paralysis, emerged as a winner in every field with which he associated himself.
The term Trial and Error, he asserts, is wrongly coined; we should rather adopt a positive approach by calling it as Trial and Success since series of determined and dedicated trials would never let you fail; they are bound to one day lead you to the door of success.
Neel, as he was popularly known, had a deep penchant to join the Indian Army but, due to several reasons, was unable to. However, the physical limitations imposed by his road accident did not deter him from his deeply rooted desire to not only win but also to excel in fields like authoring books, consulting and counselling students. In order to reinforce his slogan of Setbacks to Comebacks, Neel used, upon highlighting the different large-as-life anecdotes of his life, the refrain Mann Ka Ho Toh Accha, Naa Ho Toh Aur Bhi Accha. (Whatever may we aspire of in life, if it materializes, is good but it is even better if it does not materialize) “God, the Almighty, tests you by putting forth opportunities of failures in front of you, only to make you stronger and making you come to terms with the fact that something better is bound to come up.

“Sharing Knowledge has always been a passion for me” says the enthusiast, who has always believed in Karma and has believed strongly in the fact that things would work out for all those who are determined and have patience. Neel was able to achieve just with one arm something that the well-armed people would not even be been able to even think of achieving.
Citing interesting scenes and playing inspiring songs from the Indian Films, Neel reinforced the fact that the basic human tendency to get deterred and dejected from the path of success in the light of just a few disappointments is not what the human beings are made of; everyone can succeed and everyone can kiss the cup of success. He wished to communicate to the participating students that the only way to reach the destination is to shun the disturbing natural or man-made hindrances and to have only the goal in the sight.
“Inspirational talks such as the one delivered by Neel today can prove to be a source of high inspiration for the career-aspiring students and can set a wonderful example for the entire humanity as well which is currently going through testing times and is highly in need a morale-boost session” said Dr. (Prof) Garima Parkash, dean Vatel Hotel and Tourism Business School.
