Professional Biography

I am a human geographer with a professional qualification in urban and regional planning. I am keen to contribute to the discourses on ‘future skills’ through pedagogy, entrepreneurship and public policies by generating scientific evidences. My primary interest is in urban resilience. The other areas of my interest are inclusion (child, aged, and marginalised groups), pedagogical research and data-driven urban governance. During my 21 years of professional experience, I have experience at various levels in the government, as Programme Coordinator (technical interface) between Government of India (Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change) and German International Cooperation (GIZ), 5 years research experience as PhD student at Queen’s University Belfast and 3 years as Environment Specialist and Team Leader at National Institute of Urban Affairs, India. I have been teaching at Sushant since July 2018.
