R.B.Thiruvengadam
an Associate professor in Urban Design Program has a total experience of 14 years which includes 4 years in academics. He has been teaching in Urban Design Program at School of Art & Architecture, Sushant University (erstwhile Ansal University) since 2017.
Thiruvengadam has done his Bachelors in Architecture from T.V.B School of Habitat Studies and Masters in Urban Design from School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. He has worked extensively in large scale urban & rural Projects with projects in Kinnaur, Bharmour, New Delhi, Kolkata amongst others. His professional expertise ranges from large-scale brown field insert, lighting masterplan, strategic development plan to lighting masterplan.
Thiruvengadam has published/ presented over 6 papers in both India and abroad. His research primarily focuses on brown field catalytic inserts in rural and urban areas & lighting design. He is the Studio director of Local Area Plan studio at third semester that focuses on public participation as a mode to develop design for the community. He has also been part of Thesis at both Masters and Bachelors level in school. Guiding projects of both large scale and small scale alike.
He has been part of various juries in other institution and public competitions. His professional work in lighting has also won him recognition when three of his projects got shortlisted in DARC Awards and two of them came in top five in various categories. His current research is focused on Lighting masterplan in Indian Cities and how it can be developed along with the planning bodies development plan.
An insight on the speculations of the future of design post the pandemic situation from the lens of Interior Architecture. The participants would understand the site, structure, function & the materials through case examples and then devise an ‘appropriate use’ for the given space.
This course would enhance the critical thinking process for the participants along with the relevance of Interior Architecture.

Programme Head for IA. Pooja Lalit Kumar is a graduate from Sushant School of Art and Architecture and a post-graduate from Jamia Milia Islamia . Pooja has more than 17 years of professional experience in conceptualising, designing and developing ideas into built form before venturing into academics.
Tanvi Manglick
Assistant Professor M. Arch Interior Architecture, an alumna of CEPT University, Ahmedabad and HFT, Stuttgart Germany with an international masters’ in Interior architectural design with a Specialisation in space crafts and technology. Her specialisation and research has led to the better understanding and sensitivity of global issues with respect to traditional and cultural convictions.
To develop knowledge and awareness of fundamentals, approaches and challenges associated with adaptive re-use of built heritage. The course will introduce this through examples of Indian and International projects.
Suruchi Shah
She is an architect with specialization in Architectural Conservation. She is Assistant Professor in School of Art and Architecture, Sushant University, since 2014. She is currently the track director for ‘History of Architecture’ course in B.Arch. Her research interests include built heritage, cultural studies, historic building materials and adaptive re-use.
Bhawana Dandona
Prof Bhawna Dandona, a Conservation Architect and a Professor at School of Art and Architecture. Prof Bhawna has worked on several conservation projects in India and United States. She has keen interest in historic building materials, adapting heritage, investigative and documentation tools for heritage buildings and sites. She has extensive research experience with organizations such as INTACH, American Institute of Indian Studies, Getty Conservation Institute and ACL, University of Pennsylvania.
Neha Mallick
She has completed her Bachelors in Architecture from School of Planning and Architecture, Bhopal and Masters in Architectural Conservation from School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. She has worked on the documentation of Lal Bagh palace, Indore and Raj Bhawan, Kolkata while working for Abha Narain Lambah Associates (January- June 2013).
